Fantastic unique British Eccentricity - pity it's no longer open to the public (and surrounded by deadly razor wire)

This house shows the very best of Eccentric British Architecture and I'm proud to be British because of it. If only it was open to the public. This house is the most beautiful one I have ever seen and it would be an absolute dream to visit. It is just so stunning! And of course my hero George Harrison owns it, and his lovely wife and son live there still, so it would be just the most amazing and magical experience. Also I have seen photographs of the garden which are equally stunning and well thought out by an incredibly intelligent mind and soul. Makes me smile every time.

History is fortunate that the music millionaires of that time, so young and new to so much of the wide world, had the good taste and reverence to buy such stately and beautiful homes. Something of this size needs a lot of resources (money) to maintain it to the appropriate level of quality. Nowadays the taste and tendency too often leans toward building some modern atrocity of one's own design, and what a waste.
Many thanks to George and family for their stewardship of this magnificent home. They've come along at the right time and done the right thing, a wonderful example to all.
This is a very personal viewpoint, but what a comfort to know that a structure such as this exists, in the right hands, and shall likely stand long into the future...a monument to beauty and man's dreams and abilities.

These other peoples comments say it all. Thanks to beautiful people like Olivia and Shani for staying there and preserving such a wonderful piece of our world. George was and always will be my idol. Just remember that not only does his beautiful wife and son live there but also George. He does and always will be there. Much love to the Harrison family.
