2 votes rating 1.5? Does someone like really hate me or something? All my recent finds are getting crazy low votes. If you don't want me to post my finds here I'll gladly not.
It's not actually KLM. It's flying the SkyTeam livery (SkyTeam is an airline alliance). The airline, which can be identified by the circular mark under the front SkyTeam text, is China Southern Airlines
I always have to guess a bit and look at google image searches for identifications, and the only difference between the WC-130J and C-130J I saw was the fuel tanks between engines, and the right wing here looks like it has something between the engines (so 3 things on that wing). But, I'm nowhere near an expert so it's good somebody double checked.
One of the two Japanese shore batteries on Tarawa which mounted Japanese Type-41 200mm guns built in England in 1908. During the US assault of Tarawa in November 1943, this gun mount briefly engaged American Destroyers and Battleships closing in on the island before it was knocked out by fire from the USS New Mexico (BB-40), which scored a direct hit on the guns barrel with a 14-inch shell.
Today the gun and its support base are intact and still bear the damage inflicted on them...
"A tiller ladder, also known as a tractor-drawn aerial or hook-and-ladder truck, is a specialised turntable ladder mounted on a semi-trailer truck. It has two drivers, with separate steering wheels for front and rear wheels. This truck is primarily used in the United States, especially in cities—like San Francisco and Washington, DC—where narrow streets cannot be entered by longer, rigid-bodied trucks."
Ahh, I just had to look it up. I always thought tandem was just a bunch of people on one thing, like a bunch of people on one bike. Didn't realize it was specific to people sitting in a line. You learn something new every day :)
Qantas Boeing 747-400, clearer shot of it here: https://maps.google.com/?ll=33.93166,-118.348008&spn=0.014189,0.033023&t=h&layer=c&cbll=33.93166,-118.348008&panoid=YfhScEskKhUVxzU_JRk_VA&cbp=12,338.47,,2,-5.9&z=16
Awesome! I can only identify the A380 from the side view. I was wondering what it was, since from below Iberia and Singapore look very similar but neither airline was flying 747-400s in June of 2012.

It's anchored next to Zahrani oil terminal, which provides oil not LNG

Pretty sure it's actually a sun dog not a halo.
There's how the photos are taken underwater.

You can see the airline marking a tad better here: ...
You can see it's 8 lanes, but who builds a highway less than a mile long?
Not sure how I got to Mitsubishi T-4

I'm really surprised cars are allowed to drive THAT close to the runway!
Was wondering where the categories went. I guess reading rules helps xD
