This link shows that the Fort Belvoir SM-1 was the first hooked up to a commercial "grid" in 1957. Maybe the town of Arco wasn't part of a commercial grid.
According to ncl.com the Norwegian Sea is no longer in commission. I took a cruise in May 2001 on the Sea from NYC to Bahamas and that is exactly what the ship looked like.
