2006 Fisker Tramonto V12

2006 Fisker Tramonto V12 (StreetView)
The Tramonto, Italian for "sunset", was the first car produced by Fisker Coachbuild, in 2005. An extremely rare hand-built sports coupe based on the Mercedes SL-Class, it was limited to 150 units, but only 15 were ever built. All but one unit was powered by a V8 that pushed the car to 60 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds and providing a top speed of 202 miles per hour, and the sole 12-cylinder model built had 610 horsepower, 1000 lb-ft of torque, and a top speed in excess of 205 miles per hour. Its follow-up was the single-unit Latigo CS that was sold in September 2007 and the company merged with Quantum Technologies to form Fisker Automotive, founded in August 2007, but that company's assets were bought by Wanxiang to form Chinese automaker Karma Automotive to commission the successor to the Fisker Karma hybrid sedan. Fisker Automotive was then "reborn" in 2016 to produce more electric cars, headquartered in Los Angeles instead of Anaheim. This unit was presented at the 15th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise.
