St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where on Sunday 6th June 2022 a group of armed men stormed into the church during a religious service and are reported to have shot and killed dozens of communicants.

It is believed that the gunmen were members of the Islamist militant group Boko Haram who have staged similar attach before in other parts of Nigeria.
