Where many roads meet... (Google Maps)

Looks like there might be a building in the middle and other buildings farther out.. Are all those lines roads or tracks?. Coordinates put this quite near the Jordanian and Iraqi borders and I'm not really sure which country we are in here.

I don't think those are roads. Possibly power lines.

Hybrid mode and other maps say this is Saudi Arabia. Nearest town is Turayf (or Turaif depending on the romanization) in Saudi Arabia. I could find no indication of any installations or settlements here. This area is generally oil-rich.

If you follow the strong northeast trail, you'll see it come to a stop at a similar node, with new trails running nearly parallel going NW-SE. The line just to the NE of these trails is the border between Saudi and Iraq (kinda odd that you can SEE the border, maybe a border road?)

There's a similar type trail http://maps.google.com/maps?q=riyadh&ll=30.035365,47.276638&spn=0.005515,0.008623&t=h&hl=en>here. in some hi-res patches. Looking closely, there are intermittent dark marks along the trail, suggesting to me either electrical poles or maybe train tracks. Note at this point that the trail seems to jump over a ditch, so I'd argue it's certainly not a road. The sudden angle of the bend here also would not be amenable to a train.

Here's http://maps.google.com/maps?q=riyadh&ll=30.094671,47.414342&spn=0.022046,0.034491&t=k&hl=en>another section of trails that doesn't look very roadlike. These images could be a pipeline though, but I'd think it wouldn't branch so much. Note http://maps.google.com/maps?q=riyadh&ll=30.101818,47.434984&spn=0.005511,0.008623&t=k&hl=en>this point where you can see that the dark line north of the trail is clearly a road (it has a truck on it, and you can barely make out a dashed stripe in the middle).
