Location of the S.S. President in wet dock before being dismantled and placed in St. Elmo, Illinois. The President was supposed to be turned into a land based hotel and tourist attraction, but the currently owners lost financing and the once great steamboat lies dismantled in a field just outside of Effingham, Il.
