On Sunday 4th September 2022, Ori JS1JNM/1, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Akagunayama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 10 contacts in total working on the 40, 30 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
