The Lower Station of the Ashgabat Cable Way is in the southern outskirts of the Turkmenistan capital, Ashgabat at an elevation of 1,270 metres.

Each of the 16 cars or gondolas on the Cable Way can accommodate 8 passengers and offers them impressive views of the mountains above and of the city of Ashgabat below.

The Cable Way was constructed by the French company Bouygues S.A with work starting in 2005. The President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov opened the service on 18 October 2006.
