On Monday 8th August 2022 Manuel HB9DQM/P a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Basòdino and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

Manuel made 36 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Basòdino is 3272 metres (10735 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
