Beaverhead Rock is a rock formation overlooking the Beaverhead River, a headwater of the Missouri River.
On July 25, 1805, Sacagawea, a member of the Lweis and Clark Expedition recognized the natural formation from her childhood. As a member of the Northern Shoshone she had spent summers there.
