On Saturday 23rd July 2022 Adam K6ARK a radio amateur from Ramona, CA reached the summit of Black Mountain and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 12 contacts in total working on the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
