On Sunday 24th July 2022 Adam K6AKR a radio amateur from Ramona, CA reached the summit of Mount Cotter and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 27 contacts in total working on the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
