On Sunday 21st August 2022, Juan EA7KNC a radio amateur from Spain reached the summit of Calar Alto and activated this summit on the radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 15 contacts in total working on the 40 metre HF amateur radio band.
