On Sunday 21st August 2022, Alberto EA2DCA/P and Iratxe EA2DNC/P a couple of radio amateurs from Spain reached the summit of Castillo de Vinuesa and activated this summit on the radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 40 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Castillo de Vinuesa is 2081 metres (6827 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
