On Tuesday 30th August 2022, Fred W5YA and Roy AD5A. two radio amateurs licensed in the USA, reached the summit of Chicoma Mountain, and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 26 contacts in total working on the 40, 30, 20 and 17 metre amateur radio bands.
