On Thursday 2nd November 2023, Pat K7GUD, a radio amateur from Victor, ID reached the Chiricahua National Monument Wilderness High Point and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 63 contacts in total working on the 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, 15m and 12m amateur radio bands.
