CHKO Šumava (OKFF-0013], is a Protected Area covering 171,925.2166 hectares lying to the south-west of Prague in the south-west of the Czech Republic on the German border. Part of the area was first designated in 2005 with the last announcement in 2016. Šumava is a Site of Community Importance under the EU's Habitats Directive and is part of the Natura 2000 network.
