On Sunday 4th September 2022, Lezsek OM/SQ9MDF/P, a radio amateur from Poland reached the summit of Chopok and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 42 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
