On Sunday 7th August 2022 Tomas OM1ST/P a radio amateur from the Slovak Republic reached the summit of Skalka and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 13 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF amateur radio band.
