Crashed race car

A heavily damaged sprint car driven by Rick Stone is on display by the side of the road. To the left of this car, you can see his truck and trailer used to haul to and from the race tracks. The Connecticut driver primarily races in the New York and Pennsylvania region with the travelling Empire Lightning Sprint series.

Due to being lightweight and having exposed tires, sprint cars often flip violently. The top wing absorbs energy from the crash and helps protect the driver.
