On Friday 28th October 2022, Katsu JP3DGT/P, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Daifugendake and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 19 contacts in total working on the 70cm UHF and the 40 metre HF amateur radio bands.
