Disused Railway Bridge

Disused Railway Bridge

Crieff, United Kingdom (GB)
Outside the Scottish town of Crieff are the remains of the old railway that went from Perth to Dunblane. The bridge is located on the section of railway known as the "Crieff and Comrie Railway" which opened in 1893 and closed in 1964.

The bridge is a one-arched bridge. A small road goes over it. The trackbed below the bridge is very overgrown and one cannot walk along it. This bridge is located right before the entry into Crieff station. The section of trackbed between this bridge and the station has been filled in, as the railway was in a cutting at this point, to make room for new housing and roads. The trackbed on the other side is still there but overgrown and a small footpath goes parallel to the former railway.
