On Tuesday 2nd April 2024 at 11:17 UTC, Danny ON4VT, a radio amateur from Belgium made contact with Darius M0KCB/P, a radio amateur from north-west England who was operating from Duncombe Park NNR on the 30m amateur radio band. Darius made at total of 148 contacts while at the reserve.
Duncombe Park National Nature Reserve, covers 103 hectares at the Dunscombe Park Estate near Helmsley in North Yorkshire. The NNR is in the valley of the River Rye which has many ancient trees which have stood for 1,000 years.
