Eagle Vision

The Eagle Vision, slotted in between the Dodge Intrepid and the Chrysler Concorde, was introduced in 1992 for 1993, but its design can be traced to six years earlier with a clay design model known as "Navajo". When then bankrupt sports car manufacturer Lamborghini was purchased by Chrysler, the Navajo's design developed into the Portofino 4-seater coupe concept shown in 1987, which had a cab-forward design that would later be shown in this full-size luxury car, in which more prototypes before its release, the 1989 Chrysler Milennium and the 1990 Eagle Optima, were shown. The base model ESi, powered by a 3.3 liter V6, and the sporting-oriented TSi, having a 214 hp 3.5 liter engine producing 221 lb-ft of torque, were the two trims offered. The ESi started at 153 hp, before increasing to 162 for 1994 and 1995, and finally ending at 158 plus an increase of torque from 1996. Production, in which took place in the Brampton, Ontario plant, ceased on September 5, 1997.
