and resident on the Canary Islands reached the summit of El Sombrero and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 14 contacts in total working on the 20 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of El Sombrero is 2532 metres (8307 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
