On Saturday 9th September 2023, Guenther OE5GFI/P, a radio amateur from Austria, reached the summit of Feuertalberg and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 20 contacts in total working on the 2m amateur radio band.
