On Friday 2nd September 2022, Heinz OE5EEP/P, a radio amateur from Austria reached the summit of Schermberg and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 38 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40, 30 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
