On Monday 11th September 2023, Hans HB9BQU/P & Frieddrich HB9BNC/P, two radio amateurs from Switzerland, reached the summit of Gletscherhorn and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 81 contacts in total working on the 2m, 60m, 40m, 30m and 20m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Gletscherhorn is 3107 metres (10194 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
