On Wednesday 3rd April 2024 at 07:05 UTC, Jürgen ON3UA, a radio amateur from Belgium, made contact with Jakob OZ7AEI/P, a radio amateur from Denmark who was operating from Grene Sande (OZFF-0286) on the 40m amateur radio band. Jakob made a total of 175 contacts while at the reserve.
Grene Sande (OZFF-0286), is a protected area of 16 hectares located in central Denmark to the north-east of the city of Esbjerg. The area excludes the immediate church surroundings and was protected under a conservation order in 1969. Grene Sande is an IUCN Management Category IV area
