On Wednesday 26th October 2022, OE6CBX, OE6NOA/P and OE6TTF/P, 3 Austrian radio amateurs reached the summit of Grosshansl and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 40 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Grosshansl is 2315 metres (7595 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
