Serving time with the U.S. Army. I was there as an 18 year old Infantry recruit. That was in 1973 - 1974. I was an armored personnel carrier driver. It was scary as hell.

I was a member of the 1/31 Batallion of the 2nd Infantry Division stationed at Camp Liberty Bell from late December 1973 through early September 1974. I spent time in the DMZ with the U.S.Army. This was the weirdest place I have ever been in my entire life and the scariest too. I made a lot of good friends in the Army but I was kicked out for being a little bit of a hothead. I will always remember GP Collier and GP Oullette and "the Fence". I spent time reading or listening to the radio and wishing I could go home. The winter in Korea is brutally cold and the summer is filled with mosquitoes. It must have been very hard to fight a war there. Man!!!
