On Sunday 30th October 2022, Andy OE6ADE/P and Sylvia OE5YYN/P, two radio amateurs from Austria reached the summit of Höllwand and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 44 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40, 20 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands

The summit of Höllwand is 2287 metres (7503 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
