On Tuesday 21st March 2023, Colwyn OE/M0YCJ/P, a radio amateur from Scotland reached the summit of Hörndle and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 34 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.
