On Saturday 7th October 2023, Fumio JH0NAW, a radio amateur from Japan, reached the summit of Hachimoriyama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 21 contacts in total working on the 2m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Hachimoriyama is 2446 metres (8025 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Hachimoriyama is in the Nagano Prefecture on Honshu Island.
