My father took me to visit this cemetery when my children were pre teen with his Uncle Blair Hovis, brother of my Grandfather Hugh. George Sr's father was Tobias and his mother was Margrathe. I recently found out they married in York PA where Margrathe was born. Her sirname is listed as Brady on the record of birth, but her parents names were nowhere to be found yet. Tobias and Margrathe went to austria to visit family and george was obviously concieved on ship or immediately before; as George was born out of america, but his MOTHER was born in america. that means our heritage goes back further than it says on the tombstone. I am a 17th generation American citizen, possibly more. I say American instead of US because we became citizens of the us later.
