On Sunday 1st October 2023, Marnus ZS6MSM, a radio amateur from Nelspruit, South Africa reached the summit of In De Diepte Lookout and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 29 contacts in total working on the 40m, 30m, 20m, 15m and 10m amateur radio bands.
