On Tuesday 2nd April 2024 at 15:48 UTC, Danny ON4VT, a radio amateur from Belgium, made contact with Bruno HB9CDH/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland, who was operating from Ingelstein-Schartenflue Forest Reserve (SO) (HBFF-0320), on the 40m amateur radio band.
Ingelstein-Schartenflue Forest Reserve (SO) (HBFF-0320), is a protected area of 12.77 hectares located in the Solothurn Canton, to the south of Basel in the north of Switzerland. It was designated in 2018 as a Forest Reserve. It has reference number 160_SO_11.024B on the Federal Inventory maintained by the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN).
Bruno was at the summit of Schartenflue (760 metres asl) while he was at the reserve and made a total of 31 contacts for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
