On Saturday 5th November 2022, Kaz JL3MNP/0, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Jatougeyama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 44 contacts in total working on the 40, 20 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
