On Saturday 9th September 2023, Chrysoula-Rena SV6NOL/P & Tolis SV6KVG/P, two radio amateurs from Greece, reached the summit of Katafidi and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 18 contacts in total working on the 20m amateur radio band.

The summit of Katafidi is 2393 metres (7851 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
