On Saturday 2nd July 2022 Will OE1WIU/P a radio amateur from Austria reached the summit of Kehlluckerlkopf and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 18 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.
