On Sunday 19th May 2024, Louis JK1XIY a radio amateur from San Diego, CA reached the summit of Kuroiwasan and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group. Louis has the callsign KT6Y when he is at home in California.
