On Sunday 2nd October 2022, JK1KTV/1, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Kurotake and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 18 contacts in total working on the 70cm UHF amateur radio band.
The summit of Kurotake is 1793 metres (5883 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
Kurotake is in Yamanashi Prefecture on Honshu Island.
