On Monday 26th September 2022, JK2XKI, JJ1HWM/I and JK1VUZ/1, three radio amateurs from Japan reached the summit of Mitsutougeyama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 21 contacts in total working on the 23cm 70cm and 6 metre amateur radio bands.

The summit of Mitsutougeyama is 1785 metres (5856 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
