Lanyon Quoit (Dolmen)

Lanyon Quoit (Dolmen)

Penzance, United Kingdom (GB)
Lanyon Quoit is a Neolithic dolmen located in the English county of Cornwall and is one of the many dolmens in the county. The site would have been buried under a mound, but the mound has been completely eroded away and now the stone chamber is all that is left. The capstone sits upon three support stones. The dolmen collapsed in a storm in 1815 and was reconstructed 9 years later so the current dolmen is different from its original appearance.
