Heavy rainfall over the weekend of 18th/19th March 2023 caused a landslip of part of the cliff behind the former End Cafe site in Laxey.

The landslip resulted in the closure of part of Laxey Promenade on Monday 20th March 2023.

Residents in 2 properties on Old Laxey Hill above the landslip have been advised to evacuate. While Isle of Man Energy and Manx Utilities have disconnected services as a precaution.
