On Sunday 24th March 2024 at 10:37 UTC, Louis ON7LO, a radio amateur from Belgium made contact with Vicente EA2EZ/P, a radio amateur from Spain who was operating from the LIC Sierras de Los Valles, Aísa y Borau (EAFF-0913) on the 20m amateur radio band. Vicente made a total of 364 contact while he was at the reserve.
LIC Sierras de Los Valles, Aísa y Borau (EAFF-0913), is a protected area of 10,769 hectares located in northern Spain south-east of Pamplona. It was established as a site of Community importance in 2006 and is part of the Natura 2000 Network.
Natura 2000 aims to protect many of Europe's most vulnerable and threatened habitats and species.
