On Sunday 16th October 2022, Alejandro EA4DON/P and Elena EA4DOS/P, a couple of radio amateurs from central Spain reached the summit of Pico de la Magdalena and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 43 contacts in total working on the 40, 30 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Pico de la Magdalena is 2287 metres (7503 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
