Map of Denmark in a school yard

1954 the school of Herfølge was built and to celebrate it a map of Denmark was made in the schoolyard. First it was all white but late it was changed to be outlined. But the makers forgot one thing, the island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea. Because of it's place the map makers place it in the sea of Kattegat in a frame. But even today even media forget the island.

It was a local politician who came with the idea.
