The Mazdaspeed 3, a front-wheel driven hot hatch, was introduced in 2007 and came with the same engine found in the Mazdaspeed 6, producing 263 horsepower and 280 lb-ft (380 n-m) of torque. Road tests have shown that the Mazdaspeed 3 was capable of a 0-60 time of 5.4 seconds.
